Dry Muscat is often overlooked in favour of Gewurz or other dry, aromatic varieties; most people think of Muscat in terms of hugely sweet, exotic, fortified wines such as Muscat de Beaumes de Venise. This just off-dry but still zingy despite the perfume and overtones of sweetness. Plenty of telltale grapeiness, rose petal and aromatic herbs on the nose also the freshness of the palate stops this being soapy or blousy as candied stone fruit is just held in check.
