We once put a bottle of this unpronounceable wine on tasting in the shop, and sold cases of it that afternoon! Unoaked, with firm acidity, it shows ripe limes/citrus flvours, with excellent aroms, concentration and real length. Unusual but a great option for those bored of sauvignon blanc. It'd make far better food pairings, too.

From Uwe Schiefer, one of the most respected producers of the Blaufrankisch variety, comes this stunning wine. This variety is native to Austria and the best examples come from the Burgenland region. Bursting with ripe red fruits; strawberries, cherries and raspberries. On the palate it has a good crispness balanced with very evident but soft tannins.
